Hey Everyone! We will update everyone on our weekend in cinque terre after a nap and dinner, but i wanted to express to everyone how we feel about the italian train system. Its disorganized, stinky, switching tracks, printing wrong destinations on tickets, wierd non-italians-non-americans everywhere and if you hang behind even for a second your train will leave you!tRUTH

Jordan:

Today was a field trip day and we started of touring through the amazing vineyards of Italy and the weather was amazing!! We were served the most amazing lunch by the highschool in Cortona were the students are studying to be in the hotel and restaurant business. It was so crazy and the food was so exciting because it was the first time we have actually seen lasagna in Italy!! (this was the first moment of pure happiness) Our group then went to Il falconeire which is the 3rd best resort in the world! We toured the resort and the vineyards they have and then spent the day outside in the fabulous patio restaurant and sipped on some world famous wine!! The views were breathtaking and we are really all considering moving here!! Last night we also had the most amazing dinner that anyone in Cortona can pay to be a part of. We had a 5 course meal. Had ridiculous truffle, quail, the best pork ever and desserts that are unbelievable!! We also got to try 5 different kinds of wine with each course :) Nothing better and was the first time we felt very Italian. Tomorrow we are off on another adventure to Pisa and will be spending the day touring all over!! The science kids come back tomorrow can't wait for all the festivites to begin... We have Lib's birthday to celebrate and the fact that this trip has been amazing and we still have France and Spain to come!! Also saw were New Moon was filmed in Italy.

Kayleigh:

So us science nerds took a beautiful day trip to Siena Italy to learn about art. The day was long...real long. I got up at 5 and am yet to go to bed so this will be brief. It was AMAZING outside for the first time all trip and we luckly got to spend a lot of it out doors. I'm learning about art which is cool and I had a lot of opportunities to play with my camera. Instead of blabbering about all the artsy stuff which I sure as heck cant repeat back here because lord knows I dont know some artist from 13something whatever... I will show you our day in pictures :-)

Jordan:

Today was such an amazing day in Cortona!! The weather was sunny and it was the first day since we have been here that it hasn't rained. Today we learned all about how to start your own vineyard and all about actually making the wine and saturday we will be going to a vineyard and spending the day touring!! We also had lab this afternoon which, no offense to pharmacy school lab which I so love, but is the most amazing time ever. We tried four different types of white wines today and got huge plates of food to figure out what the wines pair best with!! So fun!! Tomorrow is back to class and lab and then we will try to start studying for our test on Friday. We are thinking about traveling this weekend to Pisa and Sienna or maybe just staying in Cortona and enjoying every second we are here. Going to skype now!!! Ciao :)

Hey Guys!

I know its beena while since we;ve uploaded any stories so I figured I'd do one entry about our food! Its amazing and wonderful! Each meal starts off with pasta, then there is salad, bread and olive oil. After that come the main dish which is usually meat and vegetables. Over the course of our trip we've experienced paninis, pizza- egg pizza, pear pizza, truffle pizza, ravioli- pumpkin, spinach, all sorts of pasta, lamb, veal, wild boar, and lots of vino! Here are some of the pictures of our wonderful food and I will update everyone one the past weekend as soon as i can!

Ciao!
Libby
